Hertfordshire Oak – Link to the Monarchy

Queen Elizabeth II was raised at Hatfield House in Hertfordshire. Fokelore has it that she was sitting under one of the great oaks when she was told that she was to become Queen. The Oak whilst not alive today can still be viewed at the visitors centre.
